There’s a lot more to a window than meets the eye. For
instance, how does it open? Does it fit the style of your
home? And more important, which windows best meet your
needs? We have always supplied traditional, quality wooden
windows, made by local craftsmen, and these are still a good
choice for those wishing to match existing frames.
We have complemented these by adding to our range some
exceptional modern reproductions from the American firm,
Andersen. They have outstanding durability, with exterior
finishes available in white, sandtone, forest green or
Terratone® colours, which protect the window’s exterior
beautifully - without painting. They have proved themselves
even with Dartmoor's harsh weather. They still manage to
keep a traditional appearance, and we have been impressed by
their use of only the finest wood and precise craftsmanship.
Reduced maintenance - You'll never have to spend time and
money scraping and painting the exterior of an Andersen
window. The trim is protected by a vinyl cladding that
doesn’t need painting; the natural wood cores are treated
with a special water repellent for durability.
Energy Efficient High - Performance™ insulating glass, 35
percent more energy efficient than ordinary double pane
windows in winter; 41 percent more in summer. Windows and
patio doors seal shut to some of the tightest tolerances in
the industry, minimizing drafts, dust, and water
infiltration. By lowering heating and cooling costs, energy
efficient windows can provide a return on your investment.
