“My role is secretary, bookkeeper and health and safety
adviser.
I also get my hands
dirty at times by working with the rest of the team out on
site.
I have been working here since January 2007.
In February 2009 I completed my
NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety
and Health) qualification, achieving a credit through
Plymouth City College,
This has
given me a great deal of confidence. I am currently trying
to improve my career prospects by undertaking an NVQ 3 in
Business & Administration.
On
completion of this I hope to start a bookkeeping or
accounting course.
Outside of work I enjoy many sports and outdoor activities
such as running, riding, swimming, walking with my dog and
cycling.
I also volunteer at
Tavistock Athletics Club as a Level One Running Coach one
evening a week.
I am hoping to
improve my coaching and move up to Level Two in the next few
years.
Just over a year ago I
completed and passed my motor bike license.
I do not currently own a motor
bike, but I would like to buy a dual purpose bike that I can
take off road in the not too distance future.
Also I am secretary for the Whitchuch and Sampford Spiney
Sheep Dog Trials Committee.
We
have on average about four to five meetings a year where I
take minutes.
I also help run the
annual event each year by helping organize the dog show and
dog agility attraction on the day and in the days leading up
to the event.
